Revised Floor B/W Drawings
These are the revised plans per Eric's critique last week. Some major changes occurred to the atrium area as the exhibit area was moved to it. Got rid of gathering space on the southwest area of the building, the stair in the south west was also moved in, etc. The now Atrium/Exhibit area needs some refining, I need to decide if I'm bringing back the trees or not, etc. The water feature moved to the south straddling the glass wall, I just wanted to visually blend the glass wall with the water as is perceived from both the inside and the outside. The roof over the Atrium/Exhibit area is now FLAT and solid instead of all glass. Figured the amount of light entering the 3 story high glass wall should be enough natural light. I will post the updated section later today. In the section I will show the new location of the cistern and the incorporation of Ground Source Heat Pumps. After trying to make the sections work with a flat roof over the atrium it made me realize that it wouldn't work. Since the monumental stair goes all the way to the 4th floor it makes it too complicated at this point to add a separated roof structure for the stair. So that said, I'll stick to the original pitched roof since it works better with what I'm trying to achieve and with the sustainable strategies. I will appreciate any comments.

Sun Path Diagrams
Here is an image of my building with a sunpath diagram that I have created, I thought it would be nice to include something like this into the final presentation.
Also I finally got to download ECOTEC's trial and here are some images from it. It is an excellent tool for designing an site responsive building. On this sofware you are able to import your 3D model into it and be able to run some tests. Too bad the trial only lasts 2 hours!! The software is a little expensive but I believe they have it discounted for students at $90. Here is the website: http://www.squ1.com/

Latest 3D Model Outside Shots
Aerial Shot taken from the south.
View from corner of Mass. Ave. and Boylston St.
View from Boylston St. looking east
View from I90 looking at North Elevation.
These shots are missing vegetation and the overhead door at the lower level. I will be adding that with the parking area later on. In terms of materials, I will be using terra-cota clad combined with insulated metal panel clad. I'm still studying the colors around the building, the orange color is locked, the other three (blue, yellow and grey) might change. Right know I will be focusing on concept diagrams and green strategies and how I can communicate them in a better way.
