Latest 3D Model Outside Shots

Aerial Shot taken from the south.

View from corner of Mass. Ave. and Boylston St.

View from Boylston St. looking east

View from I90 looking at North Elevation.

These shots are missing vegetation and the overhead door at the lower level. I will be adding that with the parking area later on. In terms of materials, I will be using terra-cota clad combined with insulated metal panel clad. I'm still studying the colors around the building, the orange color is locked, the other three (blue, yellow and grey) might change. Right know I will be focusing on concept diagrams and green strategies and how I can communicate them in a better way.

Your images are really exciting! I like the view from Mass Ave and Boylston. The corner really seems to be strong and give the sense of connection from the interior spaces to the rest of the BAC campus. It also gives an interior view to attract attention to what goes on inside. The first image is rather dark and hard to really see what is going on. I like the terracotta. It seems to relate color wise yet the way you use it will be entirely new for the neighborhood. As for the other colors, I don't know if you need so many. The glazing will probably give a blue reflection off the sky giving your building the blue naturally. I like the contrast between it and the grey though so essentially, I don't know what you should do either. I think your images are great.

Carlos, this is awesome. Your design has come together well. I really like your material selection. Really looking forward to seeing the wall sections, etc.

Nice job with the renderings--building is becoming believable and engaging.

Let's consider the following:

1. There's way too much circulation space in this building. Atrium and 2nd & 3rd floor space at SW corner have no function. Why don't you pull the exhibition space into the atrium &
carve out the current exhibition space. Exhibition space in the atrium is much more useful & visible. Further I think the back wall of the new exhibition/atrium should be opaque because it doesnt have much value to the drivers on the pike. and would simplify your North elevation.
2. Clean up your material pallate to help articulate interior function. Make cranked windows in BR's the same material and make cranked windows above/below BR's slightly different--more narrow...
3. Pull the egress stair at the SW corner further into the building to align w/ 2nd flr. atrium catwalk which will allow BR's & Photo shop to be on end w/ good light/views.
4. Extend bureaus in BR's to accomodate clothing storage--probably best as full-ht. built in cabts.
5. switch showers and sinks in BR baths for plumbing efficiency.
6. Eliminate cistern as room in building. How about a pool in the Exhibit/Atrium with an underground storage tank below and GS heatpump tubing below cistern?

Crank it out and I'll look forward to your post on Monday morning...
